READY ABOUT SAILING on Chautauqua Lake offers a variety of sailboats for experienced sailors to rent* or the chance for anyone to charter a cruise on Chautauqua Lake with an experienced skipper.

Sailing is the best way to take in the beauty of Chautauqua Lake and its charm. Using the wind as your only power, you cut through the water to enjoy the splendor of Chautauqua.

You may charter a skippered cruise aboard The Trumpeter a 27′ Pearson classic cruising sloop. Half-day and full day cruises are available with plenty of room for six adults. Ice and refreshments will be provided. Greg Swan will be your host and skipper for a charter aboard The Trumpeter.

Sailors may also arrange for beginner to advanced spinnaker racing sailing instruction.

*Sailors will be checked out for safety and sailing abilities before renting a Ready About Sailing sailboat. We want to ensure your safety and provide you with an enjoyable sailing experience without hassle. Lessons are available for new sailors.
